Self-sustaining off grid cabin

Project was built offsite at UUnlimited's Berkeley, CA shop. Utilizing 2 used shipping containers, Once transported to the site, the team executed the final install. 

Materials sourced locally and finished in the shop, ie including reclaimed white oak cladding and two second hand shipping containers.

A Nature Conservancy conservation easement prohibited permanent development. Objective - create a temporary  structure that could be:

• pre fabricated off site 
• able to function without access to utilties
• closed off when not in use
• functional, yet open and cozy
